Senior Counsel

Katharina Rastegar co-heads the Corporate Litigation practice and has extensive expertise in corporate/M&A, corporate litigation and venture capital. Katharina advises investors, companies and entrepreneurs in a range of corporate and finance transactions with a focus on innovative investing and social impact transactions.

Before joining RPCK, she was an assistant professor at the Institute for Corporate Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, as a staff member of the Austrian Takeover Commission and as a corporate associate in the M&A department at Schönherr Rechtsanwälte GmbH, where she worked on deals for public and private companies covering a wide range of industries.

Together with Keyvan Rastegar and Rahim Rastegar, she is editor and author of the FlexKapGG-ON commentary published by Manz Verlag.

She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of Vienna. She has published in various journals and her dissertation on “The Independence of the Supervisory Board” was awarded the Walther Kastner Prize. Since May 2014, she is admitted to the Vienna bar.
